Hi there, Toni, and welcome to BOTT! We're very glad to have you.

How good of you to set your own goals when the doctor does not. I had to do the same thing, but this was, I think, because I was a "lightweight" to begin with. My doc never set a goal for me either. I had a dream weight/size, which I saw for several months around my wedding day. After that, bad habits and lack of exercise found me where I was a few months ago, before turely finding the heart of BOTTing.

I look forward to hearing what your goals are, what you've done to start BOTTing. Just remember, basics count, always try to get in your protein firs****er matters and portion size has changed and needs to be kept in check!

Again, welcome!

Hi Toni,
I am new here also. My doctor never set a goal for me either. Maybe that is because I was considered a lightweight but never the less, I have not made my personal goal at one year out. I had a total of 100 pounds to lose and I sit at 85. My doctor says he is happy if I don't lose another pound but that isn't what I want. I am finding lots of help and inspiration here. I hope you do to.

Toni - WELCOME   I'm so glad you have chosen to join us!!!!!

I hope you find this site as helpful as I have.  This is the 3rd time in my life I've lost 100 pounds and always before - whether I lost 100 ozs or 100 lbs - within less than a month I was on my way to regaining.  I did gain about 30-35 pounds two years after reaching my goal - but I'm happy to say I am now under my original goal weight and MAINTAINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I attribute being able to get back/stay on goal in large part to the support, acceptance, understanding and CARING I've found on BOTT.  These folks are truly awesome.

Again, WELCOME   Don't be shy  please let us know how we can be helpful.  If you are comfortable post often and allow us to share your journey.

Hi Toni,

Welcome to BOTT.  I'm glad you found us and joined us.

We have a very special and unique group of members.  I am constantly inspired and motivated by the members here.  We've made friendships that I treasure.  You'll receive caring support that is honest and open but not in a way that is sometimes found in other groups or boards.  I may be a little bit biased but BOTT rocks!!

I hope you post often and hang out with us.

Cathy
